NEW MANUFACTURED ABS Gear. Useful on Craftsman and Atlas 10″ and 12″ change gear lathes. Late and F model lathes have .35″~ tooth face. “Alien” gear not originally available. 8.062″ od. Key to photo’s Photo 1: This is what you are buying. One high temperature ABS change gear with 127 teeth for use on an Atlas 10 or 12″ lathe. Gear center is BROACHED for perfect machine fit. Made from ABS by additive manufacturing process. ABS will not dissolve with standard lubricants or become soft in a hot garage or workshop. Made by Dave from YouTube’s Crafted Channel. I own many Atlas lathes on which to test my parts. I have run plastic parts including my ABS gears since 2015 making big cuts. My lathe is powered by a 3/4 HP motor, and I can stall it with big cuts never breaking any teeth.
