Morse Company. The CTR Recip saw blade is specifically designed for intense metal cutting applications on materials between 3/16” and 1/2” thick. These super heavy duty recip blades are extremely long lasting and are capable of cutting everything from mild steel pipe to angle iron to stainless steel plates and much more. The amazing performance of the Morse CTR reciprocating blade is made possible by Morse’s groundbreaking proprietary materials and ingenious design. The CTR Carbide Tipped Reciprocating Saw Blade features the latest and greatest in reciprocating blade innovation: precision ground carbide teeth. Ground carbide tipped edges are harder, more heat-resistant, and offer greater impact-resistance than standard bi-metal blades. Carbide teeth will drastically outlast and cut faster than a traditional bi-metal blades with cobalt alloy teeth on difficult to cut metals. These carbide teeth are affixed to a 1” wide body and .050” thickness for even greater impact resistance, straighter cuts, less vibration, and reduced operator fatigue. The combination of these characteristics makes them ideal for cutting metals that would almost immediately destroy a carbon steel or traditional bi-metal blade. CTR reciprocating carbide tipped saw blades are proudly, 100% designed, manufactured, and packaged exclusively in the United States and come with a universal tang that will fil all major corded or cordless reciprocation saw machines (Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, etc…).The 9” x 1” x .050” CTR Carbide Tipped Reciprocating Saw Blade with 8 TPI is 9 inches long, 1” wide, .050” thick and has 8 Carbide Tipped Teeth Per Inch. This combination of specifications provides the following advantages: 9″ blades allow for more flexible then shorter blades of similar dimensions and can dissipate heat more easily due to the increased surface area. This flexibility also allows you to bend the blade when a flush cut is required. 9 inch long recip blades are the perfect size for cutting work pieces that are 6 to 7 inches wide (Your blade length should be 2″ – 3″ longer than the width of the material you are cutting to prevent slipping. Additionally, your blade should not be so much longer than your material or else wobbling and vibration can occur). The 1” wide body creates an extremely strong saw blade that prevents bending and enhances its ability to create straighter, faster cuts. The .050” thickness is considered “HEAVY DUTY” and thus it is perfect for aggressive cutting applications that require heavier feed pressure such as cutting through thicker dense metals. Saw saw blades with .050” thickness are more rigid, durable, and resist vibrating or bending. Finally, the 8 TPI makes this blade extremely aggressive and fast cutting.
